DXSystem launch countdown

This week will be busy week for DXMember where DXSystem launch will take place, here is the transition schedule

ATTENTION ALL DXUSERS - MAIN DXSYSTEM RELEASE
We are pleased to announce that the release of the main DXSystem will occur on Tuesday May 17th 2005. Below is a timeline of when certain features of the current system will be taken offline to allow for imports to begin. We would like to thank you for your patience during the main DXSystem's development and look forward to seeing you after the release.

Thursday 12th May:
New user registrations, profile details changes and new portfolio creations will be taken offline to allow imports to begin.

Saturday 14th May:
All existing users will be now issued with their DXID for the main DXSystem. Your DXID will REPLACE your UIN as the main identification number of your services in the DXSystem. This change has been made to reduce confusion when entering numbers as no other service (apart from your DXAccount and DXPortfolios) in the DXSystem will share the same number.

Bank In, Out and ClaimXchanges will be taken offline to allow for existing Xchanges to be completed and finalized.

Monday 16th May:
24 Hours prior to release, remittance In, Out and ClaimXchanges will be taken offline to allow existing Xchanges to be finalized.

Tuesday 17th May:
The existing system will be taken offline at 00:00 (midnight) GMT -7. During this time all remaining imports will take place. Server configurations will be finalized and countdown will begin to the system's release.

NOTE ABOUT END OF SESSION TIMING:
Please note that as of the main DXSystem's release, the end of session time will alter from midnight 00:00 GMT -7 to midday (12:00) (GMT +11). A new feature of the DXSystem is the ability to set your own time zone to allow all times to be displayed in your local time region.

For example, if the current end of session (EOS) time in your region was 2:00pm, the new end of session time in your location will then become 8:00am. Existing users who have their portfolios in OA at the time of change will have their OA session block extended to allow for any time adjustment.

Digot picks strategy

To maintain your portfolio growth in a long term digot pick strategy is crucial part of the business right from the beginning, as far as i know there is no one digot picking strategy that establish by DXGold as the best way to gain the best growth but there is some reputable DXGold member that have been doing this business doing well with their digot pick strategy, here i will present to you the Digot Pick Strategy i have seen from many boards and forums

Digot picking methodology

Buy from the top 12 average gainers. Within that list, look at the CL and compare it to it's average CL. If less than average, consider it a buy. But don't have a 1 or 2 digot portfolio (unless you're just starting out) After 10 sessions, plan to have around a dozen different digots. Over time, some digots will drop out of the top dozen and some will join but only buy from the top 12 whatever they may be. Aim to have higher proportions of digots from near the top of the list. Those near the bottom, wait until they are bargains to buy. Be aware that the lower digots will exhibit more volatility. i.e. They will spend longer periods of time very low as well as very high.

The All Digot Average dipped to 1.86% after it's record breaking high last session. This is the session gain you would have got if you were spread equally over all digots. My strategy underperformed this index by 0.2% Still no sign of recovery in the HF 12 with similar results to last EOS. Again VIA, ROT et al moved inline with the index showing no relative rise or decline. I don't expect much improvement for a few more sessions yet. This is a long term strategy that does not focus on short term performance.

My digot selection methodology is based upon the premise that all digots perform equally if given enough time. I arrived at this conclusion solely through statistical analysis of the available data. However, this is not a new idea. I recently asked Dave Bennett of DXPowerTeam whether it came from him or elsewhere since he is often credited with its discovery. He said that the equal performance theory comes from the original GDT FAQs that are no longer online. According to him, GDT indicated that digots are forced to be competitive over time through manipulation of the premiums. Regardless of the source, there are more than enough samples in the historical data to confirm this theory to a high degree of confidence.

Some see long-term patterns in the data and choose to base their purchases on average gains over time. I also see the same long-term patterns, but my conclusion as to why they exist is quite different from the generally accepted theory that some digots naturally perform better than others. There is simply no evidence that one digot holds more intrinsic or extrinsic value than any other. That may change in the new system. Right now, digots do not follow real-world patterns of supply and demand. For example, the vast majority of DXMerchants purchase low-price digots, but they perform no better than high-price digots. Digots that are heavily bought because of high gains often crash when the premiums rise high enough, not because demand has been satisfied. There is no reason to believe that DXMerchant buying habits significantly affect gains and there is no market for digots outside of GDT that I am aware of.

In a sample size this large (129 digot types), with the gain and premium correlations as they are, the statistical variances from session to session as they are, and the typical limits as they are, I am not at all surprised to see that a small percentage of digots tend to fluctuate within a confidence band for a relatively long period. The wider the band selected, the longer a digot will appear to have some attachment to it. What I also expect to find, and do, is that these same digots eventually move out of their apparent band. There is no telling how long it will be before they return. I think a problem arises if one thinks that a digot naturally gravitates to a certain level of gain. If I am correct, this method can be very costly as one buys the same digots over and over even as their gains become poor. I believe that to continue buying such digots with the expectation that their fall is only short-term, could not only jeopardize short-term gains but long-term as well because the portfolio (PF) will fill up with a relatively small selection of digots. A large PF that is insufficiently diversified may take a very long time to turn around if its growth is insufficient to pay the fees. Is it worth the risk if one is depending on the income?

Sharon

I have always purchased digots by selecting thos digots under 20 cents with a interest gain of 2.5% or higher. I believe that in 1 year the # of digots you have in each company is more important than the premium that you paid one time . Remember your digots earn you interest for LIFE. I know James and others have studied this so it will be fun to see what they have decided.
